Genny Stone
Genny has seven years of experience in workforce development and enjoys building helping relationships with career seekers to support them in reaching their goals. Genny enjoys working with individuals to assist them in exploring their interests and qualifications that will align them with successful career and educational pathways. She incorporates a solution-focused approach to enhance workforce development activities and service strategies for jobseekers and her team members. She is passionate about serving her community and empowering individuals to become the best version of themselves. Genny enjoys cooking and spending time outdoors with her family and friends, including her two dogs.
Janet Lord
Janet, “Jan”, is the Career Services Coordinator and has been with the organization for over ten years. Jan’s mission is to make a positive impact every day as she communicates directly with customers to educate them on available job readiness and employment opportunities through PA CareerLink®. Additionally, she presents other relevant workshops and industry-specific boot camps and maintains case files. As a go-to problem-solver, Jan supports and contributes to two teams, giving her colleagues more flexibility to meet customer and office needs. Outside of work, Jan is a busy family member who enjoys cooking, hiking, knitting, reading, writing, gardening, and making things.
Wendy Garris
Wendy Garris has worked in Case Management for over 15 years; she joined the PA CareerLink® Montgomery County in 2020. She is passionate, patient, empathetic, and truly loves helping people. She feels a sense of great satisfaction when she sees her participants achieve the goals that they set when they first walked through the doors. For Wendy, there is nothing more rewarding than being a blessing to someone else.
Kelli Symes
Kelli has been working in workforce development and career guidance for since 2014; she started working in Montgomery County in November 2020. Kelli started her career working with returning citizens as a classroom facilitator reviewing job search soft skills and resume preparation. Kelli excels in developing connections with her customers by helping them take steps towards their employment goals. Outside of work, Kelli is passionate about her family, reading and being able to help people achieve their goals.
Jennifer Kremp
Jennifer is a career coach for Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) career seekers. Jen enjoys working with individuals by making a positive impact to create realistic goals for customers to achieve. Additionally, Jen enjoys creating relationships with her clients, learning about their interests, as well as the rewarding feeling of helping an individual reach success in the workforce. Outside of work, Jen likes being active and spending time with her family and friends.
Emmett Sanders
Emmett, or Em for short, is the Community Outreach Coordinator, and has made connections with 40+ community organizations in Montgomery County that assist our jobseekers on their paths to self-sufficiency. Emmett graduated from West Chester University ’20 with majors in Sociology and Women’s and Gender Studies. They are also working to receive a certification as a Mental Health Peer Specialist to support our jobseekers who have lived experiences with mental health challenges. Their favorite things include making meaningful connections with others, practicing mindfulness, spending time outdoors, doing yoga, and journaling.
Gareth Weakly
Gareth is the Training and Assessment Specialist and started at PA CareerLink® Montgomery County in 2022. He works with the Career Coaches to help career seekers identify, enroll in and complete occupational training programs that allow them to access rewarding careers that pay a sustainable wage. In particular, he seeks to be knowledgeable about local training programs and job data to support customers in making decisions that will lead to outstanding career pathways, and to build relationships with training providers to secure the best possible experience for customers. Outside of work, he can be found at church, hiking, or playing board games with his wife or on the disc golf course.
Danielle Gregor
Danielle joined the career services team in Fall of 2022, fulfilling the Priority of Service Career Coach role. As she begins her career in workforce development, Danielle is excited to help those in her community get connected to any resources they need during their job search. Danielle graduated from West Chester University '19 with a bachelor's degree in Psychology. Her goal since she was little has always been to help as many people as she can, and she loves encouraging and supporting others to make positive changes in their lives. Outside of work, you can find her reading, baking, geocaching, and spending time with her loved ones (including her 2 kittens).
Jamie Jenkins
Jamie currently works as a Customer Service Support Specialist. She has been with the company for four years and in 2019, was a featured employee. Jamie is a team player and enjoys supporting career seekers as they work towards their employment goals by helping to connect them with the workshops and services they need. Outside of work, Jamie enjoys learning new things about detective work, construction, and fashion. She considers herself a lifelong learner.
PA CareerLink® Online
PA CareerLink® online is designed to make job searching easier. The site pulls in job feeds from various websites to assist with job searches in a central location. Job seekers using PA CareerLink® online have a larger database to research opportunities. Referrals, applications, and job search activities are stored and can be easily accessed for compliance with the unemployment work-search mandate. O*NET
The O*NET database identifies, defines, and describes the comprehensive elements of job performance in the world of work. It replaces the Dictionary of Occupational Titles (DOT).
O*NET is widely used in enrollment for participants who cannot articulate current skills.
PAsmart
PAsmart is a workforce development initiative that helps connect Pennsylvanians with resources for working and training in Pennsylvania. Whether you are a student, an educator, a first-time job seeker, a parent or a person considering a career change, you will find that the Pennsylvania Career Guide is a valuable resource as you make those all-important career decisions.
Learning Express Library
The Learning Express Library is a free resource, available in partnership with the Montgomery County Public Library network, and offers test-preparation, career exploration, personal skill development, computer skills training and much more. LearningExpress also offers resources in Spanish.
Pennsylvania Career Guide
Whether you are a student, an educator, a first-time job seeker, a parent or a person considering a career change, you will find that the Pennsylvania Career Guide is a valuable resource as you make those all-important career decisions. Information in this publication can be used by all individuals who are preparing for continuing education and/or entrance into the workforce. Examples of the useful information that are found in this guide include career outlook highlights, an interest assessment tool, tips for marketing yourself, sources of financial aid, and contact information for many Commonwealth services, including PA CareerLink® locations and select state agencies.
