Winter Wreaths
It is that time of year, to craft a door hung evergreen wreath! Join us in creating your own wreath to take home. All supplies needed will be provided to complete your wreath. If you have your own decorations feel free to bring them! This is an indoor program.
All ages; $25 craft fee

Wednesday, December 7   4:30pm
Full Moon Hike & Campfire
Come experience a hike under the full moon. This nearly two mile hike will be led by park ranger Dave. See some nocturnal animals and experience the starry sky. Wear sturdy shoes for hiking. Then visit the Stony Creek Anglers to enjoy a campfire. Bring your own s'mores supplies! Wear good walking shoes.

Trout in the Classroom
Have you ever wanted to learn about the life cycle of a Rainbow Trout? Join us to observe the life cycle, learn about water quality and more! This program will take place from December until May. This month we will be preparing the tank for eggs that will be arriving in January! In May, once the trout are old enough, we will release them into Kepner Creek! Sign up for one or both days! This is an indoor program.    

Norristown Farm Park’s participation in the Trout in the Classroom program was made possible through a partnership between the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) and the Pennsylvania Council of Trout Unlimited (PATU).

Fishing Meet-up with PA Fish and Boat
PA Fish and Boat are offering a couple fishing meet-ups at the Farm Park! These events are social gatherings for anyone interested in learning more about the basics of fishing. This informal event is perfect opportunity to socialize, learn, and share fishing experiences with other anglers. Equipment and bait is provided; participants may also bring their own tackle. Those under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No registration required, come to the pavilions in parking lot #3.

Wildlife Tree
 
Join us to decorate our Wildlife Christmas Tree! Learn about the good qualities of having a real Christmas tree and how we can help wildlife. Then create edible ornaments for our local wildlife, including bird seed pine cones, cranberry garland & more. Once our decorations are made we will decorate the tree! The following days, visit our page to see what stopped by for a snack. This will be an indoor/outdoor event, dress for the weather. *No peanut butter will be used, Crisco will be our binding agent*

Morning Bird Walk
Join park staff for a morning bird walk. Come observe some amazing birds that are only stopping by. Bring binoculars if you have them. Wear sturdy shoes for hiking
